The Aim Of The Course

In this course, the reflections of gender in media and analysis about media with a critical point of view in related subject is aimed.

Course Content

Qualifications and definitions of mass media. Definition of gender identity. The institutions and devices in the construction of gender identity. Representations of gender in media in the past. Representations of gender in media in today. Gender identity in pres, gender identity on television, gender identity on movies,

representation of homosexuality in media. Role models about gender that are presented in media.
